Effective August 18, 2026
These terms cover orders placed on mattsammo.com. Placing an order means you accept them. If you
would rather ask a person, call the shop at (616) 784-6811.
Who you are buying from
Matt’s Sports & Ammo LLC, a Michigan limited liability company.
4976 W River Dr NE, # A, Comstock Park, MI 49321. (616) 784-6811. in**@*******mo.com.
Who can order
By placing an order you confirm all of the following:
- You are at least 21 years old. This applies to every kind of ammunition ordered on this site,
including rifle and shotgun ammunition, and it is stricter than federal law requires. - It is legal for you to buy and possess what you are ordering where you live.
- You are not prohibited by federal or state law from possessing ammunition.
- You are buying for yourself and not on behalf of someone who cannot legally buy it.
We check ID at pickup. If the ID does not match the order or does not meet the age requirement,
we cannot release the order.
More detail is on the Age & Compliance page.
What we sell online
Ammunition, reloading components and shooting accessories only. We do not sell firearms through
this website. Firearm purchases and FFL transfers are handled in person at the shop. Email
in**@*******mo.com to arrange a transfer.
Ordering, and when a sale is actually final
Your order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. The sale is complete when we confirm we
have the item and hand it to you, not at the moment you click through the checkout.
This matters because our website inventory is fed from the register and can occasionally be behind
what is physically on the shelf. We reserve the right to cancel or adjust any order if:
- the item is not actually in stock,
- the price or product description on the site was wrong,
- we cannot verify your age or eligibility, or
- we have reason to believe the order is fraudulent or unlawful.
If we cancel or reduce an order, we will contact you and you will not be charged for anything you
do not receive. Where we can, we will offer a substitute rather than simply cancelling.
Prices, fees and tax
Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. Michigan sales tax is calculated and shown
at checkout where it applies.
A handling fee of 3% is added at checkout, shown as a separate line before you place the
order. It is calculated on the order total including tax.
If a price is obviously wrong because of a typing or system error, we are not required to honor it.
We will tell you and let you decide.
Payment
Orders placed on this website are paid in person when you pick them up. The website does not
charge a card. Choosing “Pay at pickup” at checkout does not charge you and does not reserve
payment. You will receive an itemized invoice by email with your order.
If we add online payment in the future, the terms for it will be posted here first.
Pickup, shipping and returns
We are currently in-store pickup only, and returns are covered in detail on the
Shipping & Returns page. That page is part of these terms.
Using ammunition and reloading components
Read this part properly. It is the one that matters most.
Firearms, ammunition and reloading components are dangerous when misused. You are responsible
for handling, storing and using anything you buy from us safely and legally.
Reloading and handloading are done entirely at your own risk. We sell powder, primers, bullets,
brass and equipment. We do not supply load data, and any reloading information linked from this
site belongs to the manufacturer who published it.
- Always use current load data from the powder or bullet manufacturer.
- Never substitute a component or exceed a published maximum charge.
- Never mix or guess at powders.
We are not liable for injury, death or property damage arising from handloading, from ammunition
you assembled, from the misuse of any product, or from use of a product in a firearm it was not
intended for. If you are not certain what you are doing, ask us at the counter before you buy.
Manufacturer warranties, where they exist, are between you and the manufacturer. We will help you
make the contact.
Accounts
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has
it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend or close an account
that is being used to break these terms or the law.
Product information
We work to keep descriptions, images and stock counts accurate, and we correct errors when we find
them. Manufacturers sometimes use the same photograph across several grain weights or pack
sizes. The written description and the product code are the authoritative description of what you
are buying, not the picture. If anything is unclear, call the shop before ordering.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount
you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages,
including lost time, lost profit, or the cost of getting the same goods elsewhere.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Michigan law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled by the
state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan, and both sides agree to that.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted here when you place your order is the version that
applies to it.
