Matt’s Sports & Ammo LLC (“we,” “us”) runs mattsammo.com. This page explains what we collect when
you use the site, why we have it, and what we do with it. It is written in plain language on
purpose.
The short version: we collect what we need to sell you ammunition and get it into your hands, we
do not sell your information to anybody, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

What we collect
When you place an order. Your name, email address, phone number, billing address, what you
ordered, and the amount. If you create an account, we also keep your saved details so you do not
have to type them again.
When you sign up for stock alerts or the newsletter. Your email address, and which product you
asked to be notified about.
Automatically, when you browse. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you looked
at, and the date and time. This is ordinary web server and traffic information.
About card details
The website does not process card payments. Orders placed online are paid in person when you
pick them up. No card is charged by this website and no complete card number is ever stored on it.
The site’s checkout previously captured a small amount of card information that could never have
been used to charge anything. That data has been deleted and the checkout no longer collects
it.
If we add online card or bank payments in the future, the payment will be handled by a dedicated
payment company on their own systems. We will not hold your card number here. This page will
be updated before that happens, and it will name the company.
Cookies and the tools this site uses
We do not run Google Analytics, a Meta or Facebook pixel, or any advertising or retargeting
tracker. What actually runs is short:

| Google Fonts | Loads the site’s typefaces. Your browser contacts Google to fetch them, which means Google sees your IP address. |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will break the cart
and checkout.
Who we share information with
We share only what is necessary, and only with companies that help us run the shop:
- Our web host and site security and backup providers.
- Automattic, for the traffic counts described above.
- Google, for reCAPTCHA and fonts.
- Our email provider, to send order confirmations, invoices and stock alerts.
- Our payment company, once we have one, for the payment itself.
- Law enforcement or a regulator when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for seven years, which is normal for business and tax
records. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Newsletter and stock-alert
addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
We do not keep a record of who bought which ammunition. Federal law has not required dealers to
keep ammunition sales records since 1986, and we do not keep one voluntarily. The firearms transfer
records we are required to hold as a licensed dealer are a separate thing, they apply to firearm
transfers rather than ammunition, and we keep those for as long as federal law requires.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link at the bottom of it. Order confirmations
and invoices are not marketing and will still be sent. - See, correct, or delete what we hold about you by emailing in**@*******mo.com. We may need to
confirm who you are first, and we cannot delete records the law requires us to keep. - Close your account by emailing us.
Age
This site is not for children. You must be at least 21 to order any ammunition on this site, and
at least 18 to use the site at all. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If
you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, a web application firewall, login protection, and regular backups.
No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and we keep the software current.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
Material changes will be obvious rather than quiet.
