Shipping
We ship ammunition now. Shipping is priced at checkout, so you see the cost before you order.

Orders over $500 that weigh more than 30 lb are not free, but they are not turned away either. They ship at $16.95, and the cart tells you before you pay. A very heavy order goes out as more than one box, with one shipping charge per box, and the cart shows the total. Anything over about 200 lb is quoted by phone. Call us at (616) 784-6811.
Signature on delivery. You can add signature confirmation for $6.00 at checkout. In Colorado a signature is required by law on ammunition, so it is already included in the price you are shown there and you will not be charged for it twice.
Where we can and cannot ship
Ammunition travels by ground service only. That is a carrier rule, not ours.
We cannot ship ammunition to Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, Guam or the US Virgin Islands. The law in those places requires delivery through a licensed dealer.
We also cannot ship to New Orleans, Louisiana; Beaver Island, Michigan; or Mackinac Island, Michigan.
If your address is one of these, the website will not offer you shipping. You can still order for pickup at the shop.
Powder, primers and Tannerite do not ship at all. These are hazardous materials with their own handling rules. They are pickup only, whatever else is on the order.
Paying for a shipped order
You are not charged on this website. After you place your order we call you for payment, and your order ships once it is paid. That is the same for pickup orders and shipped orders.
When it ships
We pack and ship from the shop. You will get tracking by email when your order goes out. If anything is going to take longer than expected, we will call you rather than leave you guessing.

How pickup works
- Place your order on the site. You are not charged online.
- You will get an order confirmation by email with an itemized invoice.
- We pull the order and get it ready.
- Come in with photo ID and pay at the counter. Cash and card are both fine.
Bring ID. We check it against the order. You must be 21 or older to order ammunition on this
website, whatever it is chambered for. That is our own rule and it is stricter than the law
requires. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, call us first, because they have to meet the
same requirement and we need to know to expect them.
We hold a paid pickup order for six months, under your name. If we have not seen you by then we
will try to reach you before anything goes back on the shelf. Call us if you need longer. We are not
difficult about it.
If something is out of stock
Our website inventory comes from the register, and once in a while it is behind what is physically
on the shelf. If we cannot fill part of your order we will call you and either suggest a substitute
or take it off the order. You only ever pay for what you actually walk out with.
Returns
Ammunition, gunpowder, primers and reloading components
All sales of ammunition, gunpowder, primers and reloading components are final. We cannot accept
them back once they have left the shop.
This is standard across the trade, including at the big chains, and there is a real reason for it.
Once ammunition or a propellant leaves our building we have no way to know how it was stored,
whether it got damp, or whether anything was altered. A round can be taken apart, reloaded and put
back looking exactly as it did when it left, and we would have no way to tell. Selling that to the
next customer is not a risk we will take with anyone’s safety.
If there is a genuine problem with a product, that is different. Call us. See defective items
below.
Everything else
Optics, tools, dies, cleaning gear, cases, targets and other accessories are covered by the
manufacturer’s warranty, and we will help you get to the manufacturer where we can. Talk to us
first either way. If something is faulty, see the next section, because that is handled separately
and we will make it right.
There is no restocking fee on anything.
Refunds go back the way you paid. Card refunds usually take a few business days to appear,
depending on your bank.
We cannot take back:
- ammunition, gunpowder, primers or reloading components, as above,
- anything opened or used, other than a defective item,
- special orders and items brought in specifically for you,
- anything without proof of purchase.
Defective, damaged or wrong item
If we gave you the wrong item, or something arrives damaged or does not work as it should, call
us at (616) 784-6811 and we will make it right. Bring it in with your receipt and we will
replace it, exchange it or refund it.
For a manufacturing defect on a product still covered by its maker’s warranty, we will help you get
to the manufacturer, and where we can we will handle the contact for you.
This applies to ammunition too. Sales being final does not mean you are stuck with a genuinely
defective product. It means we cannot take back ammunition simply because you changed your mind.
Cancelling before pickup
You can cancel any time before you collect it. Call or email and it costs you nothing, because you
have not paid yet.
